Munich, July 02 2025: The Munich-based startup Venta AI has successfully closed a $2M funding round. The pre-seed round was led by Gradient. Y Combinator, Orange Collective and Gaingels joined the round, as well as renowned Business Angels Gleb Tritus, Julian Borg, Göran Göring and Freddy Martin, backing the company’s mission to transform the European sales industry.
Venta AI is building AI sales employees with a focus on compliance with European and German data protection and competition laws. The fresh funding will be used to grow the team and expand the capabilities of Venta AI’s digital workforce. Venta AI introduces a powerful sales platform designed to streamline and supercharge customer outreach. Tailored specifically for the German market, the platform brings together high-quality data, advanced AI models, and seamless access to marketing channels—including postal mail. This unified approach enables sales teams to identify high-potential accounts and engage them with personalized outreach in just minutes.
"You wouldn’t hire an English-speaking salesperson to sell to German customers - and the same principle applies to AI," said Lucas Spreiter, Co-Founder & CEO of Venta AI. "While working in the U.S. during Y Combinator, we saw how fast the sales automation market is progressing. But the existing tools weren’t built for the German language or compliant with local regulations. That’s why we decided to build the first AI sales employee specifically built with German language data and focused on compliance. We’re proud to have the backing of renowned investors who share our vision of localized AI employees."
Founded by serial AI entrepreneurs
The Venta AI founders Lucas Spreiter and Stefan Reuther co-founded their first AI company back in 2018, where they helped medium sized companies and enterprises, like Telefonica and Linde, to adopt AI in their daily business processes. They saw first hand how sales teams suffer from inefficiencies due to an overload of manual tasks. Living in San Francisco and participating in Y Combinator, Lucas and Stefan experienced how sales teams in the US are driven by automation and decided to solve these challenges for the German market.
Helping companies to identify their market potential and reaching clients
Venta AI's digital workers help companies identify their market potential by finding new customers based on individual criteria and contacting leads through compliant channels, increasing meeting bookings by 30%. There is a particular focus on compliance: by hosting the product entirely in data centres in Europe and using only GDPR-compliant data providers, Venta AI ensures the product can be used within local and European ePrivacy laws.
“Venta AI is tackling one of the most overlooked gaps in AI adoption: regional specificity. They’re building a truly localized sales platform by not just translating workflows, but aligning with regional buyer behavior, data standards, and compliance frameworks. That kind of contextual intelligence will separate winners from noise in the next wave of sales automation. We’re excited to back Lucas, Stefan, and the Venta AI team as they build AI employees that actually work for Europe,” said Eylul Kayin, Partner at Gradient.
German companies are finally able to run compliant outreach
Most of the sales technology today is still developed in the US, not focusing on the German market and its compliance regulations. Venta AI closes this gap by bringing the latest technologies to Germany.
The global sales technology market continues to grow rapidly, driven by the increasing adoption of AI and automation to improve productivity and streamline operations. According to recent reports, the global sales automation market is projected to reach USD 14.5 billion by 2027, growing at an annual rate of 20%. With sales teams spending up to 70% of their time on non-sales tasks, such as research, follow-ups or updating data in the CRM.
Established companies, like UnternehmerTUM or ARNO Group, already use Venta AI to automate their cold outreach campaigns. Especially for trade fairs or in new business operations Venta AI can be an incredible time saver by taking over the entire work from research to outbound, saving hundreds of hours in preparation and helping to reliably book meetings.
Growing the team to build new AI employees with expanded capabilities
The Venta AI team will use the fresh funding to expand the capabilities of its AI employees to automate repetitive tasks along the entire customer buying journey and subsequently maximize the time for face to face interactions. In the future Venta AI’s employees will not only be able to run outreach campaigns, but also to handle incoming requests, follow up on leads or analyze the CRM to find the next best customer. To build these new AI employees Venta AI is growing their team and looking for developers, as well as people in sales, operations and customer success.
